  • hello beautiful people

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! As always, the holidays can be a hectic time. We are almost to the end of editing the Floopa Loopa. It has been a long process for this book. I am grateful that it is almost over. I would like to start on the illustrations for the Dancing Toodle-Oohs as soon as possible!

This is going to be short, as there is lots to be done for the Floopa Loopa. I want it out by the first part of next month. Also, as a point of reference, I will be having surgery in the next couple of months. I hope to have all my illustrations done for The Dancing Toodle-Ooh’s by the middle of February, so we can start editing it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year! See you next year!

  • hello beautiful people

Wow, what a crazy couple of weeks it’s been since Thanksgiving! With the Christmas season in full swing, it’s easy to get side-tracked and lose track of what means the most. Family and friends!!!! My son, Christian, and I have been editing my book, the “Floopa Loopa” and hopefully, will have it out in January. What a fun book it has been! Fo all you Elvis enthusiasts, look into this book. It’s about an owl Elvis impersonator who goes to all the places that Elvis would frequent. It has been a blast to bring to life! I am ready to do something different, though. That’s where the Dancing Toodle-Ooh’s comes in. They are an animal dance troupe of all sizes. I want to emphasize that size doesn’t matter and that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. The other book that I will be working on is Heather Chinn’s second book in her series “Max”. It’s called “Max’s First Bath!” If you can, take a look at “Max and the Potty!” This sweet puppy learns all about the lessons of life through his stories. If any of you have ideas about different lessons in life that you would like us to consider writing about, be sure to write to me at kristen@jensen-saga-studio.com and drop me a line. I would be happy to write you back, personally. Well, time to get back to life. See you next time!!!

  • Hello, beautiful people!

Welcome to my blog and Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you all!

I’m here with my bestie, Heather Chinn! She is the author of “Max and the Potty!” She is excited to announce that she is in the beginning stages of another book in her puppy dog series “Max”. If you would like to see a certain task that is important in the development of a child, let us know and we will see about turning it into a book.

Hope you all stuffed yourselves full of good food, had a meaningful day filled with friends and family, and sat down and read a good book. With the Christmas season upon us, if you are looking for some good books for your children, look at my books as good stocking stuffers. They’re wholesome fun that can be fun read year after year.

I have a new book coming out on December 1st called, “Princess Rosebud and Sir Fluffkins.” My next book, which is in the editing stages, is called the “Floopa Loopa” and it should be out next year in January or February. With Heather working on a new story script, I will be busy putting illustrations together for her book. Then I will be simultaneously working on my animal dancing troupe book, called “The Dancing Toodle-Ooh’s”! I hope to have another 3-4 of my own books out at the end of 2026. Then I hope to have another book of Heather’s out also.

  • Hello Beautiful people

Sorry for the long wait for another blog! I have been sick and my son had surgery today.

I am excited to announce that my book, “The Floopa Loopa” is in editing. This is a cute book that anyone with a dream, will enjoy. The book begins with the Floopa Loopa, an owl Elvis impersonator, landing his dream job. Off he goes around to different places that the “King” went to. The Floopa Loopa even has a signature dance that is fun for all ages to do. At the end of each dance sequence, he shouts, “And that’s the Mango Tango!” The end of the book is a surprise, so be sure to check it out.

Have you ever had a dream and wanted it so badly that you could taste your success? That’s how the Floopa Loopa started out. Two years ago, I went to an activity at church and they were doing watercolor. We were painting an owl step by step. I had done watercolor off and on for most of my life, and didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing. By the end of drawing my interpretation of what I thought my owl should look like, the Floopa Loopa was born. Now he looked very different than he does now, but he was still colorful and interesting. He wasn’t an ordinary owl. He had dreams and wanted to succeed where no owl had done before.

I was just starting my journey of self-discovery of what I wanted to do with my life. I had been divorced for two years and honestly didn’t know what to do. I had been a stay at home mom for my entire married life. I tried going to school many times, but failed. As someone with mental health issues, I struggled with being a square peg in a round hole. I was different and it took many years to find my niche. Now I am following my dreams and am doing what I dreamed of. I want to make people happy by reading my stories and finding a piece of themselves in them.

I hope that you can find a piece of yourselves in the stories that I weave. I don’t stick to just one theme. Whatever I think is interesting, I start to research and voila, a book is born. Come share my love of reading and immerse yourselves in stories that will bring a smile to your face.

  • Hello Beautiful people!

Welcome back to my blog! It is still in the early stages of development, but I am so excited to share with you my books and my vision about books.

I was a voracious reader growing up. I loved books. I loved to read. By the time I was in 6th grade I had read all the books that I wanted in the Young Adult section of our county library.

My sister got me hooked on romance novels. It was a bad habit and it took me a long time to quit. After I quit, I found that I was bored and didn’t always want to read my cookbooks. I went back to writing as a way to blow off extra energy and found that I enjoyed my own books more than I enjoyed the books that I had read for so many years. Maybe one day I’ll publish my clean romance novels.

So, I am disabled. I had struggled with jobs all my married life and after I got divorced, I was frustrated because the pain that I had, kept me from staying with the job. I went before God and prayed about what I should do. A simple answer came into my head. “Illustrate!” So that’s what I’ve been doing for the last year.

It started out kind of rocky. I got out my first book, The “Naughty” Monster and the “Nice” Monster at the end of last year. It was fun and it was simple. The first book that I illustrated, I bombed it. We are fixing the pictures with the people’s faces. We feel redoing it is an integrity issue. We want to have a job well done.

The second book I illustrated was so fun. It was called Max and the potty. It’s a potty training book. The puppy Max went through how he got potty trained and my friend hoped it would help little kids feel comfortable going to the bathroom on their own.

I have more books in the works. My books are not one genre. Whatever strikes my fancy, I write about it. I have lots of ideas in my head and love to put them on paper. I’m old school like that. I have notebooks full of ideas. Currently I have 36 book ideas and will probably have more as the years go on.

The page that will send you to my books will be up shortly. My son is very busy with his own websites and books. That’s the next thing on his list. I hope that you will stop by again, even if it’s just to take a peek at the books and other things that I will have available.

I’m thinking of doing stuffed bunnies and quilted banners that are custom made. The quilted banners are ones that I have done for family and they are really fun to do. They have custom fabric that is all about you or your family. The stuffed bunnies will be whatever fabric I have on hand. I strive to have the best quality possible.

So stop by. You’ll be glad you did.

  • Hello Beautiful people!

Okay, let’s dive right in to another book that’s almost done.

I wrote a book called, “Princess Rosebud and Sir Fluffkins.” It is based on a folklore tale from Wales where the fairies rode on the backs of corgis in battle.

This book is action-packed and full of valor from creatures who are protecting their lands from the goblins who seek to enslave them.

Although the reading is easy, the concept is not. It deals with concepts that are a little more mature. This book is not for little kids.

I would suggest that this book first be read by 7-8 year olds who understand the concept of war. My 35 year old “special needs” niece has said the goblins look scary.

I hope to convey that good will eventually overcome evil if we try hard enough.

I hope you enjoy this book. It has been a labor of love, just like my other books. It should be out in the next couple of weeks on Amazon.

  • Hello, beautiful people.

    Welcome to my blog!

My name is Kristen Jensen! I am an author/illustrator of children’s books. My first book was The “Naughty” Monster and the “Nice” Monster. It delved into the aspects of kindness and “Unkindness”. It showed that even someone unloveable just needed someone to believe in them and to teach them to love themselves.

The first book that I illustrated for someone else was called, “How do butterflies earn their wings?” by Faith Gudgell and illustrated by me. I was not happy with the illustrations and decided to redo the faces. I am not good at faces. My editor and son, Christian Jensen, and I are working on that right now.

The second book that I illustrated was called “Max and the Potty!” by Heather Chinn and illustrated by me. This is a potty training book and very helpful for those new to the potty business. It is a great book for putting on the side or back of a potty so that your child can read it when they are doing their business.

I am in the process of finishing a Folklore children’s book, called, “Princess Rosebud and Sir Fluffkins!”

Tune in next time when “Princess Rosebud and Sir Fluffkins” should be out. I’ll go into more detail about the book when it comes
